Parasol Care Guide
- Although our carry bags have ventilation holes to help with breathability, please always ensure the parasol is completely dry before stowing away
- Clean with mild, soapy water
- Water Resistant, but not Water Proof, so avoid rain - if the unpredictable British weather gets you, make sure to dry your parasol out fully, before stowing away
- As with all wood, the colour may change over time, and as it breathes, slight cracks may appear - this is not a fault, but is part of the weathering process. The pole may also have a very slight bow, this again is normal for wood. To prolong the life, treat annually
- Periodically check and tighten the fixings due to the weathering process of the wood
- Colour fading on fabric through UV rays is inevitable, therefore when not in use, we strongly recommend putting the parasol away to avoid accelerated fading. Our parasols are designed for temporary exposure to the sun and elements
- Please note, the parasol should be stored outdoors, not indoors as the fabrics do not comply with UK regulations relating to fire safety, flammability and product safety for indoor upholstery. This is an outdoor product.
- Do not leave your parasol or deckchairs unattended, or out when not in use. If you leave the product outside for a prolonged period, especially in bad weather, it is likely to get damaged.
Parasol Safety Guide
- Do not use our products in windy conditions. This can cause injury to you, or to others
- Ensure the parasol canopy runner (the part that opens the canopy) is securely fastened. This can sometimes be stiff, if it is the first few times of using, or hasn't been used for a while; for our Premium Parasols make sure the button is line with the holes, and push up until it clicks into place, double check it is secured before using, otherwise it could close unexpectedly and could cause injury. For our Patio Parasols, ensure the pin is securely in place in the relevant hole, otherwise it could close unexpectedly and cause injury.
- Be careful when opening the canopy, to ensure that your hands are not caught in the runner, as this could cause injury
- Ensure the centre hinge is securely fastened, in the desired position prior to use. If it is not securely fastened, it could close unexpectedly, and could cause injury - so please double check this before use
- The parasol should not be left unattended, and should be closed and stowed away when not in use
- Always check the parasol is not damaged, and that it is correctly assembled, and stable before use
- The parasol has small parts, that could come loose and pose a choking hazard, therefore it is essential to not leave children unattended at any time, and to ensure all parts are fastened before use
- Keep away from open flames or anything that poses a fire risk
- Keep away from hot surfaces i.e Barbecues
- The parasol is designed for use as a sunshade only
- The parasol should only be handled by adults. We do not advise children to do this due to the risks involved as mentioned above.
- The parasol is not for indoor use, the fabrics do not comply with UK regulation for fire and safety for indoor use, therefore should not be stored or used indoors. We recommend storing in an outdoor container.
